Nowadays data protection is becoming  more and more important for businesses. They usually deal with sensitive information of their own or their customer’s. Customers even demand from the companies they are working with, to destroy sensitive documents after they are no longer using them.

The simplest example of sensitive documents are bank statements, of the company or personal, that most probably the person that handles them does not want other people outside or even the employees to see them.

For these reasons, more and more businesses have put in place processes to shred such sensitive documents. Shredding can also help to minimise the volume for paper to be recycled.

DIN 66399 is the standard for destruction of data carriers that splits into 7 security levels, P1 being the lowest and P7 the highest security level.
